Trump said today the policy is to "dominate the streets." But who does he think the streets belong to? They belong to us. Our tax dollars paid for the roads, the traffic lights, and for that matter for the police. When people peacefully protest, we're doing so on our own streets.

Nobody has a beef with peaceable protest. However, clearly there is more than street protesting going on, especially after dark. Nobody should deny that reality, either. The good should not provide cover for the bad — otherwise how "good" can the good actually be?
