Trump said today the policy is to "dominate the streets." But who does he think the streets belong to? They belong to us. Our tax dollars paid for the roads, the traffic lights, and for that matter for the police. When people peacefully protest, we're doing so on our own streets.

Are you really suggesting that he’s conflating the peaceful protests with the riots and looting? He and his admin have repeatedly stated they support protests. Why are you distorting this? I have not felt safe leaving my home this week due to rioters and troublemakers.

That assumes the government has a notion of the common weal, which it doesn't

True, but every thug considers “the streets” his home.

Every time I hear Trump speak I’m embarrassed to be an American. How can half this country support this man? Believe in this man?

When it becomes obvious your peaceful protest is closely associated with plunder and assault, you have to ask if you Are providing cover/ human shields for violent insurgency. It’s what’s expected of any other protest. Sometimes you have to actually work towards better.
