He knew what his character and ethics were the entire time he was working at the White House. They all do (except maybe Kushner and Miller, who so align with him that they don't see neofascism as a bad thing). Many ex-officials are now saying it, and it needs to be said.
Former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly: "I think we need to look harder at who we elect. I think we should look at people that are running for office and put them through the filter: What is their character like? What are their ethics?"

Let's hope the dam is bursting. I know a tiny number of people that voted for him without reservations and great number that said a prayer and checked his name. One of them compared it to being a parent, you hate to publicly acknowledge that your son might be an ax murderer..

My vote has always been about what I view as one’s good character. What a candidate has or has not achieved in the past has less to do with what they will accomplish in the future.

@JohnKelly Let's get this straight. We knew EXACTLY who Trump was BEFORE he was elected president. Here is only 1 example. Trump longs for police brutality and racial violence: youtube.com/watch?v=k_dUmBsU…

If we still need to learn the basics of voting that even children understand, we are truly already doomed.

The sad reality is that everyone knew who Trump was. Everyone knew what his record and background was. His inner circle enabled and continues to enable him. He may not even be the worst of the bunch. His base doesn't care about who he is and are still glorifying him.

Amazing that they had to wait for the streets to be on fire before they had the guts to say anything
