So about those mayors that we all thought were pretty socially enlightened guys. Is it that they were lying the whole time, or that they themselves are scared and are basically incapable of controlling their police forces? Trying to figure this one out.

DeBlasio and Cuomo are now over compensating for failure to stop looters in NYC a few nights ago. Now the police are at times attacking innocent protesters, journalists and essential workers on delivery bikes, etc...

They were lying. I know a guy though who really is what he says he is and he actually started as a brilliant mayor.
