So about those mayors that we all thought were pretty socially enlightened guys. Is it that they were lying the whole time, or that they themselves are scared and are basically incapable of controlling their police forces? Trying to figure this one out.

This is why we also need to fight for community control with investigatory, hiring and firing of their local police forces because they're shown themselves capable of bullying mayor's and governors. That's not healthy for democracy at all (as we can we'll see)
