So about those mayors that we all thought were pretty socially enlightened guys. Is it that they were lying the whole time, or that they themselves are scared and are basically incapable of controlling their police forces? Trying to figure this one out.

Looks like Lincoln Nebraska figured it out.

The police force does not respect the citizens. Or the elected officials. Gang shit.

Can't let the businesses fall due to looters and rioters. We all can agree on that. But then the rioters/vandals take cover under and among the protesters. THEN the Mayors hope that the police force is diplomatic & decent. And we're back to square 1 cause it's systemic.

Heard a long interview with Minneapolis mayor who said it’s police unions, contracts and the review boards.

I support my mayor @LibbySchaaf Until there is evidence to the contrary, she has had our backs and deserves respect.

I live 4 blocks from 3rd Precinct in Minneapolis. I’m going with ‘scared’.

Both Ma’am. Local police also protect and know the local mayor’s schedule. NYPD doxed a young female relative of NYC mayor

Why doesn't EVERYONE belong to a union? The police seem to present a model of how an effective one works
