This is such an un-American image. We the People are not the enemy.

Oh please.... “tear it down?” If there was any threat to the Lincoln Memorial, a few policeman stationed there for a while would’ve handled it. Militarizing domestic law enforcement is a terrible transgression against everything this country stands for.

This is not militarization of police. This is military. Militarization of police is giving those gangs of police tanks, 50 cal machine guns and sniper rifles. That is what Clinton, Bush and Obama did. ‘Military surplus’.

Really appreciated this; NPR's Steve Inskeep talks to Patrick Skinner, an ex-CIA case officer and current Georgia police officer, about the use of the military in quelling protests, and on ways police antagonize protesters. npr.org/2020/06/04/869282857…

The USA stands for militarizing the world, whats wrong with your own streets during ANTIFA riots? A few Policemen? Marianne, if they placed "a few policemen" and they were over ran, i'm sure you'd be the first to say "why only a few police during such intense rioting"

Maybe if you and a few of your friends go there and pass out flowers and sing kumbaya ... them all will be well!🤡
