Sorry, that's not a good plan. @SandyDarity actually has a really good plan that doesn't assume Black people need Black nannies to oversee their own reparations. That's not enough, and there needs to policies and laws along with those ONGOING checks.

We are owed much more than $500B. And the American government is past due on that debt.

If you or your family owned slaves, donate if you wish. Otherwise you can honestly miss me with this nonsense. You can try to force me to pay for a transgression I had zero part in, but it won't go well.

I have an idea @marwilliamson , how about taking that money have a new bank that will support education and many black and brown entrepreneurs, who might also hire other talented black individuals who might become owners who might need a good loan to open their business.

It would actual be in the trillions along with other programs and laws to make ADOS whole. This is not about everyone, slavery in thsi country didnt happen to everyone, ADOS is the ONLY group in the country thats been enslaved, raped, hung and had babies used as GATOR BAIT!

Marianne, with all due respect, how about we let our Black leaders and communities decide what they need to do with the reparations money.

500 billion is less than we spend on the military in one year, it’s far less than we gave to businesses in one pandemic bailout in one year. There’s no need for a council either, just give the people cash.

How about we just do a UBI? It will go to everybody regardless of race and help the entire country, including African Americans
