Majority of policepeople are good & decent public servants. Ones I know are as politically aware of what’s going on in this country as is anyone else. Let’s include them in our prayers today. The situation is very complicated, very dangerous. Let’s pray that love & peace prevail.

What power do you think they have? If you haven’t stopped it, what makes you think they could stop it? Do you think it’s as simple as filling out an HR report?

It’s as simple as physically removing a fellow officer from the neck of an innocent. It’s as simple as turning your weapon on an officer abusing theirs. It’s as simple as policing your colleagues like you police black people.

I don’t disagree with you there. I think the men who were there with Chauvin should be tried as accomplices to a murder. But the larger point remains the same.

This is such a bad take. They're there to protect and serve. If they cover up for fellow officers they are part of the problem. A good cop is someone that stands up not covers up. We've gotten to the point where they're not held accountable for any actions including murder.

They have more fucking power than we have!! The least they can do is stop covering up for each other. Jesus Christ, Marianne.

I would think the good cops would speak out more.

If I cannot stop people from SPEEDING how do you expect POLICE to stop them from speeding! Bc they have power we do not have Marianne. They have had the power for ages and have done nothing

They are wearing a vest, carrying a gun, and trained for physical intervention. No they either step the fuck up, or they are part of the problem.

You could say “He’s got handcuffs on and he can’t breathe, I think you should stop kneeling on his neck”. You could at least start there

It would be nice if one good cop could hold a press conference outing bad cops.. bad prosecutors...bad coroners...bad judges.. If he’s going to put his life on the line, he should do it for that.
