Derek Chauvin is now in custody. The long journey to justice is beginning to unfold. I was impressed by speeches made by the Mayor of Minneapolis and the Governor of Minnesota. Important to acknowledge all those who are trying to do the right thing. Kudos to those who are.

This is merely the bandaid on the gaping wound of racism that runs rampent in the US. The system needs to be drastically changed. Mr. Floyd and all those souls before him were assassinated in cold blood by extremism.
