I have an argument with a friend where I support free college, Medicare4All, Green New Deal etc. & she tells me we need an "incremental approach;" that such things are "too far left." I tell her they're centrist in Europe.She says "We're not Europe." I bang my head against a wall

I still love the story about During the Vietnam War, her father taking her entire family to Vietnam "to make sure the military-industrial complex didn't eat her brain and convince her that war was O.K." Her father is the hero and parent we all need.

I mean, sure, Marianne Williamson believes in healing crystals, but she had WAY more concrete progressive policy than Biden, who was elected when Vietnam was still going on and still hasn’t developed clear policies.

I have not. It was genuinely a joke using some hyperbole caused by my ignorance and jokes I’ve heard others make. I will make it a point to read one of your books so I better understand your beliefs and avoid saying such things in the future. I am sorry.

Matt, that was a great tweet. A big problem is just assuming or joking about people. And with Marianne, especially, the smears came hard and fast. I really do hope you take the time to research about her, her history, etc. I think you will be gald you did. Blessings!
