I have an argument with a friend where I support free college, Medicare4All, Green New Deal etc. & she tells me we need an "incremental approach;" that such things are "too far left." I tell her they're centrist in Europe. She says "We're not Europe." I bang my head against a wall

It is wonderful to see you value a close friendship in spite of your political differences. It sets a great example. I wonder if close friendships became our priority how much better we’d all get along?

If she had a background in economics and/or climatology and/or finance she might understand that we're heading off a cliff with these destabilizing unsustainable policies.... That Medicare4All would save hundreds of $billions, GND would help shift us onto a sustainable path...
