I have an argument with a friend where I support free college, Medicare4All, Green New Deal etc. & she tells me we need an "incremental approach;" that such things are "too far left." I tell her they're centrist in Europe.She says "We're not Europe." I bang my head against a wall

Incrementalism simply won't work when it comes to climate change. Every year we delay, the deadline gets one year closer. 20 years ago maybe we could have something 'incrementally' but now it's too late.

People left Europe to come here to be advanced, free, liberated. The US majority is more centrist in every way. It's the greed that scares the already greedy. It's an especially privileged life that their willing to compromise an entire country for. Conceited complacency.
