I have an argument with a friend where I support free college, Medicare4All, Green New Deal etc. & she tells me we need an "incremental approach;" that such things are "too far left." I tell her they're centrist in Europe. She says "We're not Europe." I bang my head against a wall

Whew. Yes. And yet the centrists never brought about any if the rights so many of us enjoy today. Abolishing slavery, voting for women, end of child labor...all from radicals.

I say give Americans everything all at once! Treat it like a suprise birthday party! Have Oprah announce, "YOU get Medicare4All! And YOU get a free college education! And YOU get a Government that supports responsible Climate Change programs!"

The more a politician talks up how uniquely exceptional America is and how we can accomplish anything as a nation, the more likely they are to oppose basic reforms that dozens of other countries have managed. It's infuriating.
