1/ The system works in such a way that we’d be all outraged & heartbroken now about George Floyd, but after a few days outrage fatigue takes over and we’d return to the chronic state of low level depression among millions of people that is exactly what keeps the system in place.

2/ Change won’t come from spurts of adrenaline-based effort bound to depress us more when any one effort doesn’t succeed. It will come from hunkering down and preparing ourselves for a long sustained effort, an activism that’s here to stay because we’re not done until it’s done.

3/ You can turn to the back page of the book & see how the story ends: Love wins. Love wins because that's ordained; what's completely up to us is how long it takes & how much suffering comes first. The people of the world have suffered enough. It's time for love to have its say.

MAW - the only way to do it is to burn off steam at the cost of the capitalist economy, they create the change. They’ve held power for so long and never stepped in to alleviate racism. I’m sure once they’re house starts to burn they’ll hose it down. Until then they don’t care.

Theres blame on both sides
The black community is playing checkers while the mainstream media is playing chess. Our youth will be imprisoned. Our neighborhoods will be destroyed. Our inability to think through emotional tragedies is our biggest curse, and the Democrat Party’s biggest blessing.

Marianne why don’t you try to coalesce with Black Lives Matters? More white leaders need to be allies and this is something you feel strongly about.
