I don’t want to see one more Congressperson or Senator tweet about how they want to see justice done for George Floyd without calling for Congressional hearings to get to the fricking bottom of this. We don’t need your pity, gentlepeople, we need your courage.

The heck with courage, we need to see some moral decency from these over-paid, though useless, congressional bench warmers.

Instead of pity then, how about thoughts and prayers for the good people… "on both sides" of this issue, of course.

Just more thoughts & prayers coming from politicians! 😖

It won't be justice if those men - all 4 of them - don't go to jail. You can bet the "don't rush to judgment" pleas will result in the outcome of "we regret this terrible tragedy but the officers were within their rights according to..." blah blah blah....

That said, I believe those who consider ourselves to be spiritual people have a first obligation to surrender this situation to prayer. Then, to follow the call of our prayer - and not our mental or emotional reaction to this incident - in order to know our part in the solution.
The last progressive standing is...Marianne Williamson?

Another tragic example of why #reparations is important. Also needed is an overhaul of police hiring and training procedures. Such violence and cruelty, and so little accountability. Thx for speaking out, Marianne.

The Member of Congress who represents our district—@SpeakerPelosi—hasn’t said a word about George Floyd’s murder. That’s why one reason (among many) that we’re going to #ReplacePelosi and pursue transformative criminal justice reform in Congress.
#BlackLivesMatter, and I’m committed to defending them in Congress. Our 20-point #criminaljustice reform platform includes a national registry of killer cops, and ending the qualified immunity doctrine that lets too many escape accountability. medium.com/shahid-for-change…
