#GeorgeFloyd should be alive. Instead, he was killed as he begged police for his life. The impunity of police violence is a systemic problem we must face to save lives. Police brutality is now a leading cause of death for young Black men in the US. The status quo is killing us.

“Infiltration” implies there was a time when there wasn’t white supremacy in the American police force. “long-standing infestation” would probably be closer to the truth. It’s time we root it out and fundamentally reform by changing faulty assumptions.

Take their damn guns away. Hire more cops and make them walk the beat to get to know the people. And then retrain the cops to be PEACE officers who spread PEACE. Also, take inmates who pick up trash along the freeways and add them to walking the beat alongside the cops as helpers
