Thank you. Pres Eisenhower said, "The American mind at its best is both liberal and conservative." There are high-minded versions of both. Alas, what we have to fear these days is neither. What we need more than anything is a new coalition of conscience, decency, and dignity.

I would definitely take that as a starting point. The division between true liberals and conservatives (which at its best is a yin and yang) is not the problem so much as money and power struggles between political parties.
