1/ The biological crisis was unavoidable. The economic crisis was totally avoidable, originating in the heartless actions of a morally bankrupt Congress. They didn't just refuse to help people; they've actually exploited it to further consolidate corporate power and control.

We are losing biodiversity with species going extinct, so things won't be the same ever again. The fossil fuel industry's misinformation campaign and propoganda got us to this point. Much of the global ecological damage was avoidable. So much still is.
