The rule of reciprocity.

The Silver Rule is a step up. Do not do unto others what you would not want done unto you.

The golden rule needs to be updated. FAR too many who would welcome harm to themselves gives the saying a whole new meaning. How about simply, "Do unto others with kindness, understanding, patience & love💜"

And like most rules, you can buy your way out of it with enough money.

The better part of human nature works this way for most if it is fostered in childhood in a secure and loving home. But some ppl just use and abuse bc they are needy or in pain and keep hurting others. I wish humans all lived by the golden rule. It would prevent so much abuse.
