1/ When I talked on the debate stage about “dark psychic forces,” it’s not just that I wasn’t crazy. I wasn’t wrong. The pathological energies roiling underneath the surface of the Trump phenomenon haven’t even begun to show their full force yet.

I understand what you're saying Marianne but I perhaps these are pathological forces/energies that can be found in many places beyond the current administration.

Interesting point. As soon as we acquiesced to an amoral economic system, immoral results became inevitable. Neoliberalism’s moral neutrality made way for all manner of evil. If you don’t take a stand for justice, injustice will find its way to you.

Aww, shuddup you hypocrite. You lazy, lying, money grubbing hypocrite.
Capitalism isn’t “amoral.” It’s atrocious. It’s the institutional exploitation and oppression of the many by the few.

things like using 9-11 as a pretext for enthusiastically invading a country that has nothing to do with it and making torture a mainstream feature of intelligence gathering are just a hint of what we're capable of unleashing on the world

Neoliberalism is not morally neutral, its austerity politics and killing people with cluster bombs overseas while pretending to be morally superior in a nice suit

At what point did we have a moral economic system?
I think neoliberalism is not morally neutral - it’s as evil as trump if not more so and completely immoral as it hides under the guise of democracy and the false face of the Democratic Party.
