Justice is global and playing into patriotism is a trap. It's psychologically easier to build solidarity in the presence of an out-group. Playing into patriotism solely for that reason is manipulation.

Interestingly, Third Reich philosopher Carl Schmitt held this very position, except to advocate for nationalism 🤷‍♂️
