There is a relentless calling in nature. It is part of being human, but not everyone has equal sensitivity to it for a lot of reasons. Language is almost a barrier, so many concepts are laden with misuse, misunderstanding.

Looking back at the indigenous people of our country; I wonder about all we could have learned. If only we had respected the hard-wiring so apparent in how they lived. Instead we ran right over them with some strange “thing” we called “Progress”.

As an atheist, I find this to be a thoughtless and somewhat hurtful tweet. You should know how hurtful Christian-normativity can be to people. Especially the large amount of people who have had all that forced onto us.

I think there are plenty of people living fulfilling secular lives who would disagree with you.

In regards to spirituality vs religion, I feel a deep connection to living things, but I am not religious, per se. I think ppl have lost much of our "connection" to nature on a basic level (actually the understanding that we ARE nature). It's all inclusive and doesn't hate.

No such thing as magic, and "higher powers" but I respect your political views though.
