You don't seem to understand that many of the jobs people lost during the pandemic are not coming back. Maybe only a percentage of them. So, if you're a waiter out of work with an opportunity for paid skills training that will actually help you get back to work, it's positive.

This idea would not provide the immediate help most needed. These politicians are so clueless. We have so many people needing food. The cost of groceries has escalated tremendously! During this pandemic food should be easy & cheap to obtain. Cash for necessities urgently needed!
