The radicalism of the American ideal is that everyone was created equal, therefore deserving of equal opportunities to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness & an equal say in the running of our country. Our biggest problem is how many have forgotten that or never learned it.

Yes! It’s sad that so many people have come to believe that the essential American ideal is based on hard work, superior talent, intelligence, perseverance, etc. America was founded on the belief that every human being has intrinsic value, and that is what used to make us great.

I was reading the Course today. There is always the law of cause and effect. History has shown we cannot prevent catastrophes for others unaware of this law. However, we can keep ourselves in an unaffected space by holding the ideal in our hearts for ourselves and the world.
