The philosophical shift from “God gave power to the king & aristocracy” to “God gave power to the people” was a social & political earthquake in human history. For too many generations we’ve failed to emotionally connect to the radicalism of the shift & to our need to protect it

God gave power to King, Aristocracy, AND the people. To live in a rightly-ordered society. Each playing their vital role for the common good. With spiritual leadership from his Church.

Are you familiar with the founding philosophy? Go read the Declaration. The idea isn't so much that God gave the people power as God gave the people rights, and that the people then gave the government power to defend those rights.

god gives you nothing, but free will. Righteousness comes from strength and discipline. god helps those who help themselves. people who made bad choices, then seek to take from people who worked for is evil.
What about the shift to God is dead and it's up to us to make the most of this?

Not sure it's just that we failed to connect or they revamped their titles and developed almost foul proof ways to cling onto that power and defend it. Who controls the arsenal after all?
