1/ This world is going to right itself because it always does. Nature itself bends toward healing. The part that human beings play is in determining how long it will take and how much suffering must come first. Even now, we’re being asked to decide what kind of future we choose.

2/ We are not powerless, and the fact that we’ve acted like we are is part of what has gotten us to this place. We can choose to participate in reimagining and reinventing our civilization. Each of us has a role to play in making this a better world.

More often than not, society is failing because we force abuse those into conforming or forcing others to allow a nonconformity. The "then" society forces the new influx to adopt whatever the new norm is. Those that don't want to learn new tricks or have challenges revolt.

Freedom has a lot to do with $. I can't AFFORD to leave, therefore I take punishment from the hands that rule the land I live on. A child that "knows everything" quickly finds out after leaving the nest, it's a bigger trap. Home was preparation for escape... percieved freedom.

We are learning from the past we could not have imagined the ability to gather, to make a difference in numbers, would be taken... or...? Hmmm... new obstacle, new solution. It'll come, or a "mountain will be swallowed by water and we lose 1/3 of the human population"? Not sure.

It's unfortunate that we are allowing insects to dissapear, since they are basic to Earth's ability to heal. Maybe the ones that don't go extinct will fill in other niches, but our planet is such a gem of biodiversity. We can still try to lessen our destructive impact.

As Eckhart Tolle writes: ‘suffering is only necessary until you realise it is unnecessary.’ Only when people ‘wake up’ to conscious awareness will they realise that ‘suffering’ is a choice.

Since the founding of our country the persecution of black people has been a national character defect. But we’ve pushed it back before & we’ll will push it back again. The vast majority of Americans are horrified by it and will rise to the challenge of casting it from our midst
