Is there an equivalent categorization for men? No, of course not.

Well, that’s sort of the point. “Karen” is a reminder to white women that despite their oppression as women, they hold certain privileges and can oppress others when they demand to speak to the manager or call the police on POC people just trying to have a cookout in the park.

I don’t see that as the point at all. The misogyny is still there. How is the white woman any more privileged than the white man? He, in fact, is more privileged than her. And how is demeaning any group a step on the path to where we want to be?

You might delete this tweet after going through the barstool followers list. It’s full of male Karen’s.

They're are all sorts of names to categorize men, Marianne. If you're in the out group you're a virgin. If your are in, you're a Chad.

I call them Chad's or Chip's. As a black female lawyer, when I walk in any firm, I put on my 'Chip Smith' attitude of mediocre entitlement to gain leverage, negotiate, and in general, be treated as valued.

Chad if he's young, Kevin if he's middle age or above. You seem very much like a Karen, ma'am.

Marianne, you are a Kim 🔮 and we love you for it
