We don’t have a healthcare system, we have a sickness care system. Why are Americans so sick to begin with - with higher rates of chronic disease than in other wealthy countries? We have to treat the cause, not just symptom. It starts with the food we eat. nybooks.com/articles/2020/06…

How do I explain this reality to my friend who relies on fast food multiple times a week, can't cook fo himself and thinks Coronavirus is no big deal? We all have that friend right?

Brainwashed into believing in sickness by media and medical/pharmaceutical companies. And it's a very bad generational habit. Getting sick and taking drugs has been normalized.

Every year I get a 2 percent raise from my employer , and then the very next week my health insurance goes up by 3.5 percent. Every single year! Yet, I can't afford to use my insurance because they won't cover anything at no cost to me. Scam job!

Capitalism only cares about profit. If people getting sick does not effect the profit margin, then so be it. If sickcare makes more profit then going to be sickcare. Until the profit dynamic is taken from institutions of Public Good then it will only continue to get worse.
