These one-time payments don’t allow anyone to relax even if they take some of the edge off. What don’t these people understand about $2k a month for as long as it lasts? Our govt is so miserly to the average American and so generous to the rich ones.

This is another good start by the house Dems. But, we need to do more by investing in a UBI in this country for every citizen. We need to invest in working people, their healthcare, their education, their housing, their wages, their businesses & their civil liberties

If they weren't so concerned about giving extra money to insurance companies, there would be plenty of money to deal with this and be ready to come out of the pandemic with minimal economic impact. Instead, they're looting the country under the guise of relief.
