2/ 3) the president had moved quickly to provide all equipment & medical support, which he had the authority to do, and 4) our govt had provided immediate sustained bailout in the form of #directcashrelief.

3/ Instead, the virus hit us much harder than it had to & a wave of economic despair has slammed us hard. Now people want to go back to work to pay their rent & feed their kids, which is likely to cause the next wave of mass infection. Terrible? Yes, but important to understand .

4/ I don’t think we can get out of this mess until enough of us face it in all its horror; not just the results of bad government but the reality of bad government - its utter venality. And it is ours to change. It will not be easy but our democracy, and our lives, depend on it.

Let’s be fair; He didn’t create the virus. At roughly 4.4% of the World population, the 80,000+ dead to date in USA (more than 1/2 our precious elderly) is over 1/3 of death worldwide from #Covid. Hence, “only” 72,000 dead Americans are from Trump & his Cronies so far, currently.

Capitalism is the problem. It's doing what it's designed to do: make profits over everything else. Remove capitalism from healthcare (and everything else for that matter) and you'll see instant improvement.
