We know who he is, so much so we don’t really need to keep talking about it. The real question is who are we? Are we a generation of adults committed enough to do everything necessary to defeat him - and his political phenomenon - at the polls in Nov & then restore our democracy?

I think you're partly right. I think a second Trump term will do more to shake up the country than going back to neoliberal politics that led us to Trump.

Trump must be removed just as much as Biden can't be president. If you get stuck in the 'it's one of the 2 - deal with it' box, they've won. I know it takes courage to look at the big picture & do everything we can to change the system at its roots, but that's what we must do.

Here's what will happen if Biden or another corporate Dem is elected: In 2024, the Repubs will run a worse fascist than Trump (who is merely a sign of things to come). The Dems will say, "You'd better re-elect us if you want to save our country from a fascist" - ad infinitum.

Biden supports fascists all over the world, from Venezuela to Saudi Arabia. And he himself, calling Julian Assange a terrorist, authoring the Patriot Act, etc, is pretty damn fascistic.

How is Biden better, considering everything? Neoliberal politics is what drove people to such despair, they voted for Trump. Someone said voting for Biden out of fear of Trump is like going back to chain smoking to avoid lung cancer. And I agree.

I think it takes lots of courage to NOT fall in line with Dem establishment right now, no? Tara Reade, for example: don't you think it takes a lot more courage to call out the powerful on their wrongdoing than staying silent? To do the right thing when it's hard & inconvenient?
