Not vanquishing the racist Confederacy when we had a chance resulted in a lingering festering class contradiction that begs for resolution soon before it erupts. And for the past 3 years, the President has only added stress to the seams and stripped a vessel now ready to explode.

Yes, the French Revolution got rid of the ruling class. Then the French had many years of internecine warfare until dictator Napoleon Bonaparte took over. I hope we donn't have to go through anything like that, but who knows?
