On Red Square for 50th V-E Day, 1995, cheers for the aging veterans who’d saved civilization - & for the visiting US Pres & Marine Band - shook the buildings for hours as we all wept in the streets from gratitude. It was the most powerful expression of love I’ve ever known. 🙏🏽
