Exactly. There are abandoned mill buildings everywhere that can be transformed into affordable housing. Where I live, some are in that process now. It should be a national effort...not to make money, but to ease burden.

It's important to note with these successes that they are *not* segregated. They are next to wealthy people, next to other middle class people. Studies have shown many times that when people in poverty move into better neighborhoods that they have a higher chance of success.
