1/ Imagine a single mother living in a small apartment with two kids. One of them has a behavioral or physical disorder. She’s ineligible for unemployment and she doesn’t know where they’ll get food in a week or two. And remember there are millions in her situation and even worse

2/ As the days drag on she finds it harder & harder to cope. She starts screaming at the kids, crying uncontrollably & having panic attacks. The system that has failed her now has the audacity to say the problem is with her mental health. But no it's not. The problem is with us.

3/ Love isn't the only face of God. So is Justice. To say we should love a hungry person is not enough; we also need to feed them. Our problem is not just the myriad societal dysfunctions that plague us; our biggest problem is the economic injustice that created so many of them.

4/ Such are the things we should think about now. We need to imagine, articulate and plan for the society we'll have to build on the other side of this. As soon as the crisis is over we need to hit the ground running. We need to be imaginal cells out of which will emerge the new.

Federal Govt is not the answer to solve our problems tho. Its too big to accomplish anything and too corrupt. Maybe it would work at a very local govt level that really had its pulse on the community and less room for corruption.

Not sure how phone banking works but it seems like if you could call enough people in low income neighborhoods and just find out what their situations are, then get people on the other end willing to help out in any way that they could, it'd be the most direct route to a solution

If the democratic party can't do better than Joe there's no way they would've ever nominated you but you're self aware enough to see that and it gave you the freedom to address the deeper issues that the other candidates wouldn't touch and for that I thank you
