The answer is not to reopen the economy; it's to freeze the economy. The government should provide everyone with the economic wherewithal to survive this period without leaving home. It's criminal to make people have to choose between their livelihood and their health.

The only way to "provide everyone with the economic wherewithal to survive this period" is to re-open the economy. We can't all sit at home waiting for a vaccine or cure. Money doesn't grow on trees, and govment doesn't provide anything that it doesn't take from the productive.

No matter how you look at it, some have to still go to work to keep the lights on and the food flowing and staff the hospitals. There has to be a compromise. The question is where to draw the line.
