Americans have been trained over the last few decades to expect so little from govt, propagandized to believe govt actually helping them is a bad thing. It’s a tragic surrender to corporate control & a betrayal of the ideal of govt “of the people, by the people & for the people.”

No, one of the biggest mistakes in American politics is that Reagan ever said that. I don’t think even he foresaw, or would agree with, the damage that that sentence has created.
