This is like the part on the Titanic where the rich people went downstairs and locked the doors in steerage so the poor people couldn’t get out. Isn’t there a general consensus that that was the wrong thing to do...?pbs.org/newshour/economy/wor…

Would be nice if people could actually be paid unemployment benefits. NC has a backlog of 400k people waiting for more than 30 days. @NC_Governor @RoyCooperNC

I agree. This is proof that we live in an oligarchy. Nothing more, nothing less.

It would have been faster for the rich to just get onto the lifeboats and go Greed and arrogance defies all logic

I have a theory. Empathy is not only missing from the psyche of dictators, sociopaths and bully's it appears to also be missing in some good people in our time. It isn't being taught to children. Compassion, empathy and love need to be taught at home and in school.

Donald Trump is using the CoronaVirus pandemic to restructure America in his image. Small businesses will succumb to the Free Market & be bought out cheap by billionaires. Poor inner city neighborhoods will be foreclosed, evicted, gentrified. Donald Trump Triumphant.

I do not think it is the right approach, it has to be a choice. And some people are at higher risk than others of getting really sick
They could care less what happens to the people in steerage. The only thing America will do is honor them when they die by holding parades and flyovers. America just doesn't give a damn especially since a large number of deaths are black and brown people.

You're right ... it's been a sick system ... and it's been getting progressively worse since 1980 ... but now it's no longer hidden ... it's out in the open and many just don't seem to care ... why? ... because it's not them ... they're one of the lucky ones ...

The most vulnerable workers never received unemployment. Many of us (including me) still haven't received our stimulus checks. There is no choice to be made here. Nons have to go back to work or starve.
