1/I don’t agree. I’m old enough to remember when the change occurred. It was in the 1980s that American capitalism began to divorce itself from ethical and moral concern for people and planet. I believe there’s such a thing as an enlightened capitalism but it better get here fast

2/ I think the most enlightened societies have elements of both capitalism and socialism. But none of that is possible until we get the money out of politics. Our government has become little more than a handmaiden to huge corporate forces and that has got to change.
