1/ Many people are saying “I want to go back to work” who are actually just saying they want to eat, feed their children and pay their bills. What kind of (rich) country tells its citizens to make a choice between risking their lives or risking hunger for their families.

The people want to work and not have to rely on Government hand outs. This lockdown without adequate UBI is forcing the people to beg for government funding. If this doesn’t turn around, we are looking at authoritarian communism.

The numbers are clear, this virus is as deadly as the seasonal flu. But we have never destroyed our economy and the lives of millions because of seasonal flu. This is a government power grab well as the greatest heist in human history.

Marianne, capitalism works that way. Workers have always had to endanger themselves in some way in order to feed, house, & clothe their families. This virus is just making the inherent inequality more visible.

One that won’t be rich for long.

How exactly do you make and distribute the food and other products necessary to eat, feed your kids, and have a decent standard or living without people working to create, distribute, and maintain these things?

There also people saying “I want to go back to work” who mean “I want to go back to work” and earn for my family. Only politicians are preventing them from doing so...

I do understand that. Why can't they grab a mask and go to work and leave their weapons at home. My sister lives and hour away from events in Michigan. The behavior of those folks do not make it easy for government to lighten protective restrictions.

This was indeed a calculated decision! Probably went something like this w/Manchin and Co., “ Let them starve/face eviction etc., just bailout the Big Boys so they can asset strip what they didn’t get in 08’, and the economy will be up & running in no time, pandemic or not.”

A country that has been voting for trickle-down Reaganomics for 40 straight years.
