I ran for president saying that our government acts without conscience, our amoral economic system leads to immoral results, and the clock is ticking on absolute disaster. Clearly I was wrong...?

The idea here is that only someone whose career has been entrenched for at least a decade in the system that drove us into this ditch should possibly be consider qualified to lead us out of it. That’s a fiction promulgated by a system whose only goal is to perpetuate itself.

I hear that. But there are other skill sets, other kinds of expertise, that perhaps are even more relevant to the times in which we live. They too are “qualifications.” And it’s difficult to remain in that system and truly call it out at the same time. It spits out truth-tellers
