1/ COVID revealing as many problems as it’s creating: lack of adequate healthcare system; lack of adequate investment in science and medical research; systemic economic injustice towards black Americans as well as indigenous peoples; lack of govt compassion in response to crisis

2/ It’s very important we remember those things, as there will be tremendous temptation to forget them once we get on the other side of this. The system will do everything it can to return to “normal;” we should never forget how dangerous that normal is to vast numbers of people.

3/ The system has revealed itself deeply inadequate in responding to crises, particularly those that it creates. Ask every politician, “What would we do if there was a nuclear disaster?” “What would we do if there was a global weather catastrophe?” If they just squirm, fire them.

We don't need "leaders", "borders", "money", "governments", these are the illusions we have constructed over the last 11,000 years. Return to our natural state, free state: #DirectDemocracy #GiftEconomy

You left out 1 of the most effected & forgotten communities that COVID has revealed the disabled/chronically ill community. It has been exposed that we are thought to be expendable & our needs neglected not just in crisis but everyday. Please start to advocate for us

Pelosi et al refusing to implement free healthcare and freeze rents because even this crisis is one to be managed and gotten through, without fundamentally changing anything.

This ad infinitum. We are all missing that feeling of normalcy but, as it turns out, our normal was a dangerously precarious situation where corrupt and dysfunctional gov’t, from Congress to agencies to local admin, left people completely unprepared to face a true crisis
