What do you mean by reparations? You are continuing the problem by just throwing money at these people. They want change through better jobs, more opportunities and better healthcare. You dont get proper change by funneling money through a government that cant work for itself.

“Just throwing money at these people;” such languaging of the issue an example of the problem. A continuation of the same paternalism to say what “they” want & how “we” think we can fix them. Morally correct to simply pay a debt that’s owed; then “they” can decide how to do that.

I understand that there are issues within minority communities that we must address, but I just have a different view on solving the problem. Getting the government involved through reparations by using taxpayer dollars is inadequate and unjust and defeats the purpose...
