You’re right. Theoretically they’re protected. But look at what that would mean on a practical basis for a doctor or nurse. It would mean they’d have no income, they’d need a union or to hire a lawyer to represent them etc. It would be extremely hard to fight that system.

Yes but they're being fired for HIPAA violation. They did that here in NY as well. If a doctor speaks up about staying home and death rates, it's ok. The minute it's about how the hospital is not doing their job to protect their frontline workers, boom pink slip.
