Sabbath in every religion is an important day of recalibration. In a way, the pandemic is forcing us into a dark and painful one. Not having sought wisdom consciously, we’re being forced to recognize what the world looks like without it.

The schism between left/right Americans needed an awakening of this magnitude for some time. Now’s the time to reflect on the boundaries of left and right and begin the cooperation needed to realign all our political compasses and resume the progress this country deserves again.
