I respectfully disagree with you and Chomsky, Marianne. It's not about Arithmetic, it's also about Morals, and perhaps more importantly, Strategy. Voting for yet another Corp Dem will not only ensure a dormant Left but guarantee we won't succeed anytime in the near future.

I see it the opposite way. If Trump wins, I fear a suppression of all kinds of political activity. We should not underestimate what he would try to do with a second term.

He's been in power 3 1/2 years & all suppression of civil liberties has taken place with the full complicity of most of the Democrats. Also, Biden authored the predecessor to the Patriot Act & Obama put Chelsea Manning in jail & forced Assange to seek asylum to avoid extradition.

You need to watch his interview last week on @democracynow. He said Sanders had built a movement that was game changer & that activists needed to continously push Biden because he is empty & can be pulled in any direction. Now is Not the time to fall in line. #BernieOnTheBallot

Trump is only slightly constrained now because he still needs his base/voters. Imagine him in a second term with no one to answer to. Look at the chaos he’s already caused. Biden was not my first choice but the alternative is unthinkable for me.
