I agree with Chomsky.
"Failure to vote for Biden in a swing state amounts to voting for Trump." In an interview with me, Noam Chomsky compares the #NeverBiden ppl to Communists in the 1930s who refused to ally with social democrats against the Nazis: "We know where that led."

I rarely disagree with you Marianne, and I believe you have the best intentions coming from love But a vote for Biden isn't a vote from love, it's a cold calculating vote from fear.

If a wild tiger is loose in your neighborhood, a certain amount of fear is healthy.

He’s literally wrong. The only thing that amounts to voting for Trump is voting for Trump. If you refuse to vote for Biden, you are increasing the odds that Trump will win, but that isn’t the same thing, morally or practically.

Morally, his point - and mine - is that it is.

I respectfully disagree with you and Chomsky, Marianne. It's not about Arithmetic, it's also about Morals, and perhaps more importantly, Strategy. Voting for yet another Corp Dem will not only ensure a dormant Left but guarantee we won't succeed anytime in the near future.

I see it the opposite way. If Trump wins, I fear a suppression of all kinds of political activity. We should not underestimate what he would try to do with a second term.

I like Ralph Nader, but a lot of people didn’t vote for Gore in 2000 for that reason. Millions of dead Iraqis resulted. Nothing holy or pure there.

No I’m not voting for a rapist

It’s really dangerous to throw the principle of “innocent until proven guilty” out the window. The word “alleged” has meaning.
