As we bear the consequences of ignoring early warning signals, climate change will hopefully be given greater credence. Pandemics was only one of several areas where we have been willfully blind and must live more responsibly in order to avoid catastrophe. amp.theguardian.com/science/…

What do we do when we’ve lost all hope in the political estab taking any action whatsoever? They’ll let us rot and die before doing anything just to save their bank account. I’m with @HC_sunrise but I wish I felt like what I’m doing is actually helping to make a diff

Don’t forget: we have elections in November. Be active in your own state, too. There’s a lot to change - I know about that quite well - but as I’ve heard Bernie say, “despair is not an option.” Other generations have made extraordinary changes and we will too.

Incremental change will not save us from the climate crisis. Hence my lack of hope for the political estab. My hope rests in true leftist candidates who are actually running on solid platforms fighting for radical policy changes.

You can’t compare Biden to Trump on climate change. Voting isn’t just about our standards, it’s about serving our country by trying to put the best people in charge. We can give it all kinds of justification, but the fact remains that if we don’t vote then that’s a vote for Trump

Not voting isn't a vote for Trump. Some of those people who don't go to the polls might have actually cast their ballot for Trump over Biden. The issue isn't voters who fail to support Biden. It's Biden's failure to inspire all of those people to get out and vote.
I AM voting and I’m not allowing anyone to tell me who to vote for, that’s not what this country is about. I can’t compare Biden to trump on climate change but also, my generation won’t survive on Biden’s climate change policies... sooo???
