He didn’t simply say he has absolute power. Now his name will be printed on every bailout check, and there are tens of millions of Americans who are literally going to think he personally sent it to them. Don’t kid yourself; they’ll want to vote for him in order to say thank you.

It’s beyond “At this rate he’s going to become a dictator.” He’s in the process of becoming one now. Maher says he’s afraid he won’t leave the WH but it’s beyond that already. He doesn’t plan for there to be an election. He’ll say he’s using his emergency powers to “postpone” it.

The scariest part of course is how many Americans would think that’s a good idea. He will at least float this idea at some point. Our greatest hope at the moment lies with Republican senators who know this is true & will find the courage to act. I think there are a few who might.

It’s scary and insane but on the other hand, would you want a rapist with dementia at the helm right this second? Stuck between a rock and a shittier rock

I’m so scared of this. My family fought so hard to leave the power of 1 to live in this land, & became foundational members of the core values of this country. To see it all being torn apart is breaking my ❤️. The worst part is that anyone I share this view with thinks I’m crazy.

The scariest part of this scenario is the GOP will let him do it.
